China's central bank raises interest rates again

BEIJING - China's central bank will raise the one-year lending and deposit interests rate by 25 basis points from December 26, according to a statement posted on the website of the People's Bank of China Saturday.

This is the second time for the central bank to hike interests rate within 2010 after it raised the benchmark lending and deposit rates by 25 basis points on October 20, as was the first time in about two years
